Isle of Man Post Office's Sustainability Journey

Isle of Man Post Office (IOMPO) is steadfast in its commitment delivering for a sustainable future; aiming to minimise environmental impact while enhancing environmental performance.

As a public body governed by the Climate Change Act 2021, IOMPO is supporting IOM Government’s ambitions of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050 with interim targets of:

  • 35% reduction in net emissions by 2030
  • 45% reduction in net emissions by 2035

Our sustainability efforts are designed to benefit not only our business but also our employees, suppliers, customers, and the broader community. The business established the Environmental Sustainability Committee to oversee and guide the environmental initiatives and sustainability practices within the organisation. Its primary purpose is to promote and integrate environmentally responsible practices into the corporate culture and operations, ensuring compliance with applicable environmental regulations and industry best practices.

The business is splitting its sustainability initiatives in to three key categories that mirror our key operations.
